Telecommunications giant, Dhiraagu Plc has posted a net profit of USD 15.1 million in the first quarter of the year.
According to Dhiraagu’s quarterly report, the net profit posted for the first quarter of the year is a 6.18 percent increase from the USD 14.1 million posted in the same quarter of 2024.
The main revenue generators for the company during the first three months of the year were its mobile and fixed and broadband internet services.
The report showed that Dhiraagu had earned USD 24.1 million from its mobile services during the quarter which is marginally less than the USD 24.4 million posted in the first quarter of last year.
Despite the decline in mobile services revenue, Dhiraagu had posted an increase in revenue from its fixed broadband services with USD 19.8 million. This is a 1.3 percent increase from the USD 19.5 million earned in the first three months of 2024.
Dhiraagu posted a total revenue of USD 45.3 million in the first quarter of this year, which is a marginal decrease of 0.14 percent compared to the first quarter revenue generated during the same period last year.
