Maldivian Band ‘Two of Us’ Advances to Semi-Finals in International Music Competition

Local band, Two of Us, has qualified for the semi-finals of the Battle of the Band International in India.

Two of Us, a band representing Maldives in the international music bands competition in India, has been giving electric performances throughout the competition. So far, all the performances the band has performed in the competition have been well received by the judges and the audience, especially fans back home in the Maldives.

Following their qualification for the semi-finals, the "Two of Us" expressed gratitude to the Maldivian public and said their success is an achievement shared by all of their supporters. The band said it is becoming clear that one can succeed as long as they have a dream and work hard to achieve it.

The Battle of the Bands features 12 bands from various countries. While all bands performed in the elimination round, six teams advanced to the semi-finals, including Two of Us. One band will be eliminated from the semi-finals while five bands will progress to the final. The top three bands will be selected at the final event.

Two of Us said the band is ready for whatever comes next and is determined to bring a historic victory to the Maldives after years of hard work and dedication.

While Two of Us performs on an international platform, the band’s fan base back in the Maldives continues to grow. The band's performances have been praised by many on social media.

Two of Us performs both Dhivehi and Hindi songs at the Battle of the Bands. Judges have consistently appreciated the band's talent. Renowned Indian music composer and a judge on the show, Anu Malik commented that Two of Us is the most talented band he has seen in recent times.
