Minister states journalism plays pivotal role in reviving language

Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage Adam Naseer Ibrahim has underscored the pivotal role journalists play in reviving Dhivehi Language. The minister made these remarks during a ceremony held to launch a new online news.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Adam Naseer highlighted several practices of journalism that require improvement. The minister stressed the significance of adhering to the general ethical principles of writing while following the grammatical guidelines of Dhivehi Language. He expressed confidence that if the news published without grammatical errors, the usage of language will be improved by the readers as well. On this stance, he further stated that journalism plays a crucial role to resolve various societal issues and problems.

Furthermore, Minister Adam Naseer recognised that ever since the publications of the first newspaper magazine, the field of journalism has continued to expand, aiming to resolve various challenges and issues within the society. Hence, he urged all journalists and media outlets to uphold these value and work to enhance social cohesion, eliminating societal problems.
