The Elections Commission of the Maldives (ECM) has announced the registration of the People's National Front (PNF) as an official political party in the nation.
In a special ceremony held on April 9, the inauguration of the PNF took place, with Zain Abdullah Yameen appointed as the acting President of the party. Zain Abdullah Yameen is the son of Former President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayyoom.
With the formal registration of the PNF, the total number of political parties in the Maldives now stands at 11, reflecting the diverse and vibrant political environment in the country.
