Gov't launches new website to connect public with cities ministry

Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar has announced that the ministry's recently launched website will serve as a platform to foster connections between the public and the ministry. He conveyed the message during the launch ceremony of the website, which was inaugurated by Deputy Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works Ahmed Irufaah.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Shareef commended Deputy Minister Irufaah for his contributions to the website's development. He emphasised that the swift establishment of the website, shortly after the ministry's inception, reflects the dedicated efforts of all ministry employees.

Additionally, Minister Shareef disclosed plans for the website's enhancement to facilitate greater public engagement. He also revealed plans to provide information through the website in the English language, aiming to strengthen the bond between the ministry and the public.

Furthermore, Minister Shareef encouraged all staff members to work resolutely toward achieving the ministry's objectives. He highlighted the need for decentralisation in connecting the public with the government and proposed amendments to the Decentralisation Act.

The newly launched ministry website is designed to showcase its activities, featuring photos, videos, news, and information for public access and awareness.
