Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has revealed about 150 people are at the signing stage of acquiring the Vinares flats built in Hulhumale’ Phase II.
The Vinares housing project involves the construction of 10 towers with 1,344 housing units, all of which are three-room apartments. The project aims to resolve some of the housing difficulties faced in the Greater Male’ Region.
The housing ministry revealed application for Vinares flats had earlier been opened for recipients of Hiya flats who wish to exchange their flats and individuals who had paid to acquire flats in Gulhifalhu under a previously announced housing scheme. The ministry stated about 150 of such individuals have now completed most formalities of acquiring Vinares flats and are at the stage of signing the agreements.
Meanwhile, Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has opened public applications for the Vinares flats until September 15. HDC revealed more than 6,000 people have been given a tour of the Vinares flats, at an average of 400 people per day. HDC said additional information has been provided regarding the flats to over 3,000 people.
The Vinares flats have been developed under four main categories, which include inner view, outer view, marina view and standard view apartments. The sizes of the flats range between 883sqft to 1,395sqft.
HDC had earlier revealed all major construction work of the Vinares flats has been completed. HDC said the interior finishing works are currently ongoing at the flats.
