Applications opened for entry to gov’t schools in Male’

Ministry of Education has opened applications to gain entry to the first grade of government schools in Male’ City.

The education ministry opened applications for entry to government schools in Male’ ahead of the start of the new academic year during the second week of August. Applications have been opened until June 30. The ministry said application to gain entry to other government schools in the Greater Male’ Region will be opened on July 1.

The start and end dates of the academic year were changed by the education ministry following the disruptions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, academic years now begin in August and end in June of the next calendar year.
