Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO) has decided to bill the waste collection and disposal services provided in the Hiya flats of Hulhumale’ Phase II.
WAMCO had been providing household waste collection and disposal services in the Hiya neighbourhood free of charge. However, WAMCO revealed the services will be billed starting from May 1, at a rate of USD10 per household. WAMCO said bill and account details will be sent via SMS to the registered owners of Hiya flats.
WAMCO said the service with monthly bills is dedicated for household waste produced on a daily basis. The corporation said collection of bulky waste will be carried out under its Call And Pickup Service (CAPS). WAMCO said customers who wish to book for CAPS or inquire information regarding their monthly bills can do so by contacting its hotline 1666.
