Key agreement exchanged between the Maldives and the UAE

The governments of the Maldives and UAE have signed an important agreement on bilateral cooperation.

The agreement signed between the two countries was a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Experience Exchange on Government Development and Modernization. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2022 in Dubai, UAE.

Vice President Faisal Naseem signed the agreement on Maldives’ behalf, while the Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohamed Al Gerawi signed on behalf of UAE. The MoU aims to aid the Maldives in building institutional capacity and modernisation of Maldives’ governance framework.

Vice President is currently on an official trip to the UAE.
