State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has revealed its customer services are currently interrupted due to continuous cyber attacks.
STELCO stated services from its website, mobile application, mobile outlets and service counters have been suspended since March 24 due to ransomware attacks. STELCO said its IT engineers are working continuously to resolve the issue and reinstate services. The state-owned company apologised to customers for the inconveniences caused by this service interruption.
STELCO further stated the case would be reported to Maldives Police Service (MPS) to find the perpetrators.
